Where my data is

On your device, in an encrypted database, and nowhere else. There is no account and no cloud copy, which also means we cannot recover your data for you — if you delete the app, the debts you entered go with it.

Why the plan does not match my bank

Because it is a calculation, not the bank's own arithmetic. DebtPath applies the rate you entered to the balance you entered, once a month. Your lender may compound daily, charge fees, or post payments on a different day. Treat the plan as a scenario and check it against your statement.

Scanning a statement

Recognition happens on the device using Apple's own text recognition. The photograph is written to a temporary file for as long as it takes to read it, then deleted — on success, on failure, and if you cancel. Nothing is uploaded. If a number comes out wrong, correct it before saving: the scan fills the form, it does not decide anything.

Managing a subscription

Subscriptions are handled by Apple, not by us. Open the Settings app, tap your name, then Subscriptions. That is also where you cancel, and where a free trial is cancelled before it charges.

Deleting everything

Settings inside the app has a control that erases the database, its key and every stored preference. It is immediate and it cannot be undone. Deleting the app from your phone has the same effect.
